To experience an adventure that spans millions of years, we enter this UNESCO World Geopark on the Basque Coast to follow a 13-kilometre route with views of the Cantabrian Sea and the most spectacular rock formations you have ever seen in your life. A natural architecture, created over millions of years in which rocks and the sea have left their legacy. Seeing it for the first time will leave you speechless.

ZUMAIA, A MAGICAL LANDSCAPE
Situated in a privileged position on the shores of the Cantabrian Sea and the bay where the Urola and Narrondo rivers meet, Zumaia is known for its impressive flysch, the medieval historic centre, its fantastic beaches and the hermitage of San Telmo , on top of dizzying cliffs , which became world-famous after being the setting for the wedding in the film Ocho Apellidos Vascos . Here you will also enjoy its rich gastronomy, with the pintxos that fill the bars every day, fresh fish and the famous Zumaia octopus that celebrates a great festival at the end of September with tasting, popular preparation of ‘octopus soup’, a tour of the flysch and a visit to the fishermen’s guild, among other activities.

Although all the points of interest in the town can be visited in one morning, it is worth spending more time to enjoy its beaches and charming corners. But, above all, to travel the spectacular Flysch Route to Deba, which has also been the setting for Game of Thrones : its impressive cliffs have shaped Dragonstone , the House of the Targaryens.
