This is how Laura Escanes defines herself, an absolute lover of Menorca, her refuge since she was a child. There we meet the influencer , podcaster and presenter – now of a reality show, precisely, about adventure and travel – who, making room for us in her holidays (she is going to enjoy a month on her favorite island), shows us some of her favorite corners and tells us all about her summer plans.
LAURA ESCANES: I have been coming to Menorca for a long time. When I was little I came with my family; then with friends, with partners… All the important people in my life have been to Menorca with me. And I think it is so special because I have lived many moments on this island; good moments, but also bad moments. And that makes you connect a lot with the place and with yourself. Also Menorca has magic, I think that people who have been there also feel it. It is like it captures you.
You say you’ve been coming here since you were a child, do you remember your first time in Menorca?
I must have been eight years old or something like that, I have memories of some specific areas, beaches… but above all seeing typical photos of holidays with the family, which take you back to that moment. I couldn’t tell you where we went or what we did, but I do remember being all together. And I think that I fell in love with Menorca since I was little. It’s my island.
