The couple is celebrating their first wedding anniversary, which took place on July 8, with a getaway to the city of love, the most romantic in the world according to Tamara herself . A trip in which gastronomy has had a special role and we have been able to see them in some of the best restaurants in the city : Epicure , with 3 Michelin stars; or two legendary ones like Le Voltaire -with its delicious profiteroles- and Maxim’s , one of the legendary ones on the banks of the Seine.
For the occasion they have chosen to stay at the Le Bristol hotel, one of the favourites of celebrities , where we have been able to see the Marchioness of Griñón surrounded by flowers and champagne and magnificent views with the Eiffel Tower in the background. “Thank you @ionieva for the best anniversary I could have imagined” said Tamara herself, and there are few cities like Paris to celebrate love.
But the couple’s getaway was not limited to Paris and they have taken part in one of the favourite excursions for tourists from the City of Light: Giverny, to discover Monet’s house and gardens. “One of the visits I was most looking forward to was to Giverny, to see Monet’s gardens. It is one of the most inspiring and beautiful places I have ever been to . Being able to see the gardens and water lilies that he painted up close is a gift. I encourage you to visit it if you are in France this summer” Tamara Falcó tells us.
So you don’t miss this essential getaway on your next visit to Paris, we’ll tell you everything you need to know.
Where is Giverny?
Giverny is a charming town on the River Seine, located about 80 kilometres northwest of Paris. It can be reached by car in just over an hour, but it is also perfectly connected by train (from Paris Saint-Lazare station to Vernon-Giverny) or bus from the French capital.
What has made it famous throughout the world is its light, a special light that captivated one of the great masters of Impressionism , Claude Monet, who lived there from 1883 until his death in 1926. He was not the only one who fell in love with the light of this corner of French Normandy , because the skies, the flowers, the daily life, the changing light of this region have served as inspiration to other great artists such as Degas, Renoir or Pissarro.
